I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
